Narrative
The Supercenter is part of the Mesa Riverview development that also includes a Bass Pro outdoors store, a Home Depot and other smaller retailers, including auto dealers. The largest incentive available to the anchor retailers is a $35 million sales tax rebate generated over 20 years. Also, the city is forgiving $1.8 million in construction permitting and impact fees and refunding $2.93 million in infrastructure improvement costs. We divide these subsidies equally among the three anchors.
